Deep Blue Recording Studio offers a range of services to bands, artists and media companies wanting access to a well specified studio at affordable rates. The centre piece of the studio is the Neve Series 51 Mixing Console which gains great praise for its big open sound from all that have used it. The main recording platform is a Pro Tools HD3 Accell system with a large range of Plug-ins. Together with Quested Monitoring and a range of good quality microphones and outboard the studio is one the best equipped in the South West.
For Music Recording the Live Room is of part stone construction and gives a tight punchy sound to drums, there is also a dead room for tracking amps etc. Clients have access to their own lounge with kitchen facilities, a Play Station 3 and WiFi access.
Other recording options include tracking at the Hippo venue. Bands can set up on stage and record as if they were playing a gig. The stage is connected to a separate control room where recording is carried out with a Digidesign VENUE and Pro Tools rig. Please contact us for details of this unique service.

In addition to the great gear the studio also comes with the choice of two great engineers/ producers who between them can handle any musical style and audio project you throw at them.
Matt Bernard specialises in recording contemporary guitar-based bands in addition to acoustic-based artists. He is a certified
Pro Tools Operator and is available to run Pro Tools and engineer for visiting Producers if required.
Jay Auborn takes care of sessions requiring any programming and music commisions. There is not much he can't do with an MPC and is also a big fan of Ableton Live.
